When is it an emergency?
In case of acute dental complaints, please contact us by telephone. We will assess the situation and discuss how quickly treatment is needed.
- Severe toothache that does not go away
- A knocked-out or loosened tooth
- Rapidly increasing swelling
- Persistent bleeding that does not stop
- A broken tooth or molar with pain
- Dental injury after an accident
What can you do in a dental emergency?
Knocked-out tooth
Hold a permanent tooth by the crown, not the root. If possible, place it back or keep it in milk and contact us immediately.
Persistent bleeding
Bite firmly on a clean gauze. If the bleeding persists, please contact us.
Swelling or inflammation
Contact us immediately in case of rapidly increasing swelling. In case of swallowing or breathing problems, emergency medical care is necessary.
Broken tooth
If possible, keep the broken piece of tooth and contact us for assessment.

Costs for emergency treatment
De kosten van een spoedbehandeling zijn afhankelijk van de behandeling die nodig is.
During our opening hours, regular dental rates apply at We Smile Dentists.
Please note: If you go to the Tandartsspoedpraktijk outside our opening hours, the emergency service does not bill your insurer directly. You must pay for the treatment yourself immediately afterwards, preferably by debit or credit card. You will receive an invoice that you can submit to your health insurer yourself. Whether the treatment is reimbursed depends on your dental insurance.
